Banff Summit and Gondola

On our way to take the gondola (cable car lift) up Sulphur Mountain.


Had to take a shot of these imposing mountains.





What's this snowcoach doing here?

That's wasting money, considering it costs about half a million dollars; standing here not earning its keep.



The end of the gondola ride up there doesn't look so high up.





And up we went.

Always found such rides scarey.

This (left) is the view towards our destination at the summit.







And this (below) is looking back to where the ride took off from.








This is a shot of the dirt path up to the top.


Looked like a lot of fun; perhaps next time should we come back.



And very much cheaper as the gondola rides (up and down) cost Ca$30 per person.

But the weather was fine and the views quite breath-taking.
