This was the prettiest town on this trip.
All the buildings were of interesting design, though mostly modern renditions of traditional styles, like these residences across the road from our hotel the Caribou Lodge. There were just one main road and another parallel shopping street, besides the reidential roads. Banf is in the Banf National Park.
Population was about 1,500 we were informed. You must be employed in the town to qualify to buy and own a house. New building construction was presently prohibited.
The 'ROAM' bus was excellent, with clean new buses and very helpful bus drivers. Not cheap rides though. Luckily we had complimentry bus passes.
It's an environmentally-friendly system. Click video.
